Cattle Baron's Ball 2016

Cattle Baron's Ball is the largest fundraising event nationwide hosted by various chapters of the American Cancer Society. Through CBB, they raise funds for local programs for cancer patients and raise awareness in regards to this illness. The event in larger cities consists of a country-themed dinner featuring live performances by some of country music's biggest names.

OVERVIEW

For the third consecutive, BLACK KOI 360 was selected as the official design studio for the Rio Grande Valley American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball.

The CBB co-chairs selected the theme Viva La Cure and requested a festive look for the event. While others may have opted for the ever-so-popular "Mexican fiesta" theme, we instead looked for inspiration in the pottery markets and streets of Puebla, Mexico. We created a concept reminiscent of hand-painted blue and white talavera with yellow accents.

The final product was one of the best projects we have ever worked on, as well as the biggest one we've sponsored so far under our Design for Social Good campaign.

In February 2017, Viva La Cure won a Silver American Advertising Award for "Integrated Branded Content Campaign."
